Hair Dye! (in Contests)

BootyGod August 6 2009 2:33 AM EDT

Well, I have a small problem. That problem is that my current hair dye isn't permanent. It's semi-permanent, which is rather annoying. So I'm looking for some PERMANENT hair-dye. Not temporary. Not semi-permanent. Permanent.

But I'm also not looking for natural hair colors. Looking for more exotic colors:

- Green
- Blue
- Red

Those are the main ones. Also pretty interested in trying black or a rich purple.(Not deep brown. Seriously.) Keep in mind, I'm not really looking for neon here. More of a... Rich. Emerald and forest green. Blood red (Think Coke can red). Ocean/sapphire blue. Get the idea? Richness > Brightness.

But the problem also becomes... Well, I'm terrible at using search engines. I always seem to type the wrong words (I found like 10 blogs on people trying new hair colors and their heartfelt opinions on it.) but no real variety of places to buy hair dye.

So I'm asking for help!

I'm hoping one of you can find me the dye I'll next use to get my hair the color I want.

So what I'm looking for is links to websites where I can buy dye. And your job is to pick the dye.

So the contest part:

If I actually use the site you link, the dye you link and the color, I'll pay you 1 mil CB.

If I use the site, but pick a different brand from it (I don't see this happening, honestly) you'll get 200k.

If I use the brand and the site, but pick a different color, you'll get 500k.

Now, that is just what the "winner" would get.

For any link that I find informative/interesting or that links to somewhere I could use in the future for similar "body augmentations", I'll pay 50k. This isn't limited.

Of course, the links should only be about hair dye (Everyone needs to know how to grow their own fungus! No. I don't.)

Contest ends when I like a dye SO much I buy it on the spot, or sometime Sunday night.

Umm... I don't know. *shrug* That's everything, I think. If you have any questions, let me know. Please post all links here (If you CM them, I won't count them, because I'll forget... Because I'm retarded.)

PS

If for any reason I have not sent out the prize money By August 20th, I'll double all prizes when I finally DO get them out. I'm terrible about keeping track of these things, so hopefully this will help.

PPS

I should warn you, I'm currently leaning green. Other colors will start at a disadvantage. But I'm also ridiculously fickle. Oh, and pink is not an acceptable entry. Indeed, if you link a pink hair dye to me, you owe ME 50k :P)

The last link explains in detail why semi or demi-permanent colors are the only option if you're not an albino (which sucks...)

Henna?

@ Novice

I don't mind bleaching my hair as long as necessary. I don't dye it often, so I'm not too worried about long lasting damage.

Secondly, since I'm going for more rich, but darker shades, her post (while still valid) doesn't pertain as much to me. I've done a midnight blue before for months without issue, and that was -without- bleach.

This is much harder than I thought it'd be. I could only find blue permanent.

If someone does win this thread, I propose you post pictures of how it turned out too. I'll keep looking. (I've gotten a lot of results relating permanent dye to cancer, but not much else.)

Here's the same product on the manufacturers website

Also, if my last post alarmed you at all, which I doubt it did but just in case, I really wouldn't worry about a cancer risk. There are so many conflicting studies about every single substance known to man.

I don't know how to post links. This has 4 different colors. i think the green would be the best. Enjoy.

Blah @ lack of responses. Sending out the prize money now.

100k to all who contributed, since I had so few.

@ Soxjr, I still may end up going with your selected dye. Just haven't decided yet. As now, you'll be getting 100k, but there is a slight possibility of getting more.
