I'm nitpicking here, I know. But it never hurts to ask :)
Since my first language is French, when I CM people who also speak it, I use accents. French in particular has lots of those lying around. However, CMs that contain them are, right now, converted into unreadable gibberish.
Any way this can be fixed? Forums work in English, as does chat, but I'm sure I'm not the only one conversing in another language via CMs...and lots of other languages also use the same accents.
I don't remember the reason why this was never addressed, if it was, in the past.
i support accented characters as well! i especially like that french guy in the holy grail on top of the castle wall. i also really liked slow-poke rodriguez who was speedy gonzales' cousin i believe. ; )
That's a very good reason, I cannot see why it wouldn't be fixed now!
;)

Oddly enough, the "can will" typo occurred because the first time I hit "preview," it didn't work. I added a bit of text and tried again (with a typo), and it came through without errors.
They don't count as the same characters? News to me. Because, they indeed work in alt form, which I never ever use on my French keyboard.
Oh well, I could use that from now on, thanks!
You still need to know a lot a ascii codes though. Like I said, it's a nitpick anyway :P
