Good blogging services? (in Off-topic)

What are your favorites? I've decided to try and run a blog (just what the world needs, right?) and need a decent (slightly more on the professional side) blogging service. I've had a little experience with Blogger and WordPress, but are there any others that would be worth a try?
Thanks!

I like Blogger personally, the layout functions are pretty easy to use, you don't even need to know any HTML, it does it all for you. Wordpress doesn't feel as easy to use to me, but I know a lot of people who prefer it.

What sort of blog are you planning though? If there is any content, such as links to copyrighted material for instance, Blogger will takedown your posts without warning or chance for reinstatement if they receive complaints. And if you have too many takedowns they take down the whole blog.

Wordpress are apparently easier to deal with in such circumstances and will contact you if they receive complaints, or if there are technical hitches and they deal with it quickly and painlessly.

Personally, if you can't get what you want out of those two choices then I can't think of any better alternatives.

I'll have to say Blogger too. I use it for my three blogs. I know you said ''more professionnal'' but...although it might look simple at first, if you look around a bit there is a big amount of easy codes laying around, already complete and just needing a paste in your own HTML. You can pretty much do anything you want on there, with other's coding if you don't know how to do it yourself.

By the way, this:

Is full of usefull mods you can apply to Blogger. Check it out if you want to go beyond the default layout and functionalities of your blog.

Marl, I hope you know that I fully expect you to post a link to your blog once it's up and running. Try to keep it PG, though. ;P

Oh and on Blogger look for their export function. It lets you back everything up.

Yes, I will post a link once I get started. Also, thanks Ash! :)
