One that I can actually do with my hands (you know... besides a mouse and keyboard).
I was thinking miniatures. I like the whole Warhammer 40k universe, but it seems a bit... expensive.
So, I could fund that hobby with birthday and Christmas money, but before I make the leap, are there other good miniature games out there? Preferably SF. ;)
I've been making hip hop instrumentals as a hobby. I'm having a blast and so far I've had positive feedback. It's a better hobby then getting into a game. Make some kind of art. New Skills > Games. I know I'm on a game, so don't criticize me.
Well, perhaps. But I like writing stories, and inventing worlds. Games appeal to me more.
One of my favorite hobbies is playing Role Playing Games.. You could run your own RPG, either online or offline. If online, I'm sure you could find a number of people here in CB even that would be willing to try it out.
Short of that, I suggest video games.. Fallout 3, Oblivion, stuff like that. There's puzzle games also.
Why not find a way to make some money off it. Pay for your miniatures by painting and selling them (assuming that still actually works).
Hehe, I do enough of that as it is (RPG-wise). I was looking for more in the way of actually making things. (Props, if you will.)
I've wrote (read: thought of) a few RPG rulesets actually.
Again, though, I'm mainly looking for miniatures.
And I really should get Fallout 3, but I hear lots of people say it isn't actually any fun.
RE: Fallout 3
There's also a lot of people who hate video games, does that make them right? My point is.. it's a great game.
On the Fallout 3 topic.
I never liked it either. You either love it or hate it. Just give it a test run and find out.
