I've seen some threads about theme support which pretty much all ended in "it's too much work". Being a web developer I agree that a fully themeable engine is a major pita. A simple way to allow a fairly big amount of customizabilty would be to offer the option to replace the path of the .css files. This way a local .css file could be used and users could script their own themes without much impact on the engine. Also this means less traffic on your servers. There are various browser games out there that took this route quite successfully (travian being one of them).
I really like the game, and would love to see some visual improvements ;) Do the devs think this would be possible?
I believe that might have been considered. The issue is that they are actually still in the process of updating the site if I'm not mistaken.
It's possible, and was indeed the idea. There are some areas, however, that are uneasily adapted to the new rendering engine (fight.tcl being the worst offender... that page is horrendous)

don't modern browsers like FF and Opera allow this already w/o needing special site support?

It's ugly as sin, but if you install this* into Stylish you can alter the way CB looks. I really hope someone kind and smart unkludges my hack into something useable.

Might be a better place to start, it's code that's meant to be a template (thanks to

Sucks you can only do it with Firefox :(
I'm sure there is some way to do it in IE.
...but you shouldn't be using IE anyway. ;)

All the cool people use chrome anyways ;)
I don't like the way BA burning on Chrome goes... I use it for plenty of other stuff though.
The new version of modern mono makes non-supporters very visible (they have an underline)
