Decay // Amf question... (in General)

{Wookie}-Jir.Vr- August 26 2009 8:42 PM EDT

Lord Xavius takes damage from his own Decay (1032000)!
Lord Xavius's Decay hit Kano-san for no damage

Lord Xavius regenerated 120,000 HP Plane regenerated 128,670 HP

Melee Combat
Prince Tortheldrin takes damage from his own Decay (200000)!
Prince Tortheldrin's Decay hit Kano-san for no damage

So both minions have 1.00 AMF cast on them...
Bird cast Antimagic Field on Prince Tortheldrin (1.00)
Bird cast Antimagic Field on Lord Xavius (1.00)

So why does one minion take over a million damage for his decay, while the other takes only 200k?

Doesn't make much sense, I'm guessing I'm just simply over looking something so if anyone knows, feel free to help me out :P

Thanks!

Just to clarify that is the last round of ranged, and the first round of melee.

Decay backlash is 0.2 * AMF% * Caster's current HP.

Yes, it is based upon your casters current amount of HP.

That is why 20 hp decay mages are great.

The cannot die from decay, however, they can from GA if they use NSC and do some damage.

{Wookie}-Jir.Vr- August 26 2009 8:49 PM EDT

How does that work?

Decay backlash is 0.2 * AMF% * Caster's current HP

Even assuming my minion is at 100% health, (4 million) according to your formula the decay backlash would only be at 800k... not 2 million...

.2 * 1.00 * 4million = 800k... ???

Just a couple thoughts on your character.

1) get NSC for your first minion/decay mage
2) decay on a PL minion or wall is generally a bad idea due to the HP one can lose during a 1.0 AMF cast.
Vs DM characters it is nice, especially if a wall casts it, due to the frequency of GA and the damage reduction one gets from heavy armor vs GA.

I assume you have 29 total leadership.

:P my character is in shambles atm, I'm selling pretty much everything off to avoid getting reset, and I'm about to transition to a COMPLETELY different strategy. (Muhahahahaha).

=)

QBRanger August 26 2009 8:56 PM EDT

Why would you get reset?

Defaulting on my deal with Corath. (or close to it)
