I know this is of short notice and kind of late as the first NFL game was this past Thursday, but I just got back from a vacation. There are still 15 games playing tomorrow.
So, this contest is just like last years weekly football pool. You are going to follow this link and pick which team you think will win tomorrow. If you haven't bet Lines in sports before, you may not know what the number after the team means. I'll explain.
When you go to the link it will list 15 different sets of teams and they will look like this:
Miami Dolphins +4
Atlanta Falcons -4
The number after the Miami Dolphins is +4. If you select the Dolphins, the line is giving them +4 points. So if the end score of the game is Falcons 21, Dolphins 18, you will get the extra +4 points and finish Dolphins 22, Falcons 21.
The reason that lines are set up is to even the games up and make them more exciting to bet on.
Entry fees of $100k CBD will be sent to Weekly NFL Lines. I will start the pot out at $250k. I will take 10% of the pot each week and put it into next weeks pot so there is some incentive to continue to play.
I'm using eSurveysPro.com to record the pool results. I've never used it before so hopefully it works okay. I haven't figured out a way to require a username and password so I guess I'll have to match the survey results to the IP addresses I'll get when people send me the cash. This system isn't as nice as PeterGriffin's system last year, but I don't know how or what service he used.
