So my plan is that mageseekers target the highest DD minion. So if i have nothing but base level decay, I can give my tank just a bit higher level DD, something like MM just for kicks. Then he'll get targeted instead of my mages, which means the mageseeker has to deal with an evasion minion with armor instead of a squishyer enchanter. My question however is: Will mageseeker still target him if he has a mage shield equipped?
No. In fact, if you have a mage shield on a decay minion, mageseekers follow the same target progression as any other weapon. See NS' char.
Oh, I'm dumb, I forgot that the other effect of the MgS is that it lowers DDs to 0, so it's like you didn't even train the MM. My bad Wraithlin.

Way to build me up just to crush my hopes and dreams. It's ok. Now i didn't waste the XP.
A mage shield on any mage, rather. They cease to become valid mages for seeking purposes.

If you train DD on a tank, won't that override use of a weapon? I can never remember the order there... If it does, your tank is going to use that paltry MM, even in melee.

From the Wiki:
"If a DD spell is trained to any level and can fire in a given round, it will override any equipped weapon for that round."
MM fires in all rounds, so training it on a tank makes that minion cease to be a tank.

Oh i call him a tank, he's really just an evasion minion with a mage shield and a RoBF. Not sure what you want to call one of those. Maybe make up a new class called Hax.

Evasion Wall? I'm running a strat similar except I'm pulling a two minion EW:ROBF.

Ah, gotcha... A RoBF "tank"! I love it!
