I'm looking to run a different strat fairly soon. I've come up with an idea or two, but I'm looking for new ideas and comments.
Any minon count, any NW. (Within reason.)
Here's my idea (very vulnerable to GA and surviving to melee, I'm afraid): 1st minion, SG mage w/ RoBF + AoI & DB ($50M+ NW). 2nd minion, PL wall w/ ~$72M NW ExBow.
Thanks everyone!
If you're going to do this, train a little DX and ST on your PL minion.
The AoI isn't really going to help you at all. I would say that using either AoAC or else AoL would be the better choice and you would also have better ranged survivability against archers.
Okay, thanks. And yes, I was planning on training ST/DX on the PL wall, and a small AMF on the SG mage.

It shouldn't be that bad against GA, providing you do this:
Don't train SG as high as you would normally. Instead consider the joint RBF/SG damage as one output. The RBF damage obviously won't be returned and the lower SG damage should, providing you have enough HP/PL going on, reduce the damage return you take from GA.
Additionally, does the RBF reduce incoming magic GA return? Or does it simply reduce AMF backlash?
According to the wiki, it just protects against AMF backlash. (Thanks JW, I wouldn't have thought of that. ;))
it protects VS both JW, it protects vs AMF backlash and vs DD. And as GA returns the same damage type it receives RoBF would help in reducing that too.
Didn't Jon confirm that went the way of the dodo ages ago?
That while we all thought GA returned the same type of damage as the attack, it's actually it's own type?

Jon did confirm that, but I'm seeing decreased GA return when I'm wearing the ToE....
