A contest of dates. (in Contests)

Okay this is a contest of dates.

There will be 6 dates in history which I need to you to guess.
50k for each correct guess. 2 will be dates in human history which something historic happened. 2 will be something that has happened locally (Canada, Alberta or Calgary) 2 will be personal. I will give hints out if needed, I don't want this contest to last 2 months but I would like it to last at least a week. These dates are real and not made up. I would like exact dates...e.g.= Dec 7, 1941= Pearl Harbor bombing.

2. A person may only guess 6 times per post.
2a. A Person may only guess 2 per subject per post.
3. A person may only guess repeatedly if someone has guessed between their own post.
4. Guessing is free, if you feel like paying send to the tournament fund on the character 'TourneyPrizes'.
5. Any rules which may be subject to dispute will be settled by me :-P
6. If you post a date and provide a history (not copy/paste) or (link me a site)I may give an extra 10-50k depending on how much I like it. This could be a far out story of something that happened when I was a kid or be a small historic layout of the mid Atlantic naval battle.

Not as much action as I would have liked for this little contest of mine.

For the 1st event 1 is huge yearly thing that happens around the world. I am asking for the original date.

For the Second it's a disaster that occurred in a city that has a Professional team in Hockey, Football, Baseball and Basketball.

The third is a event that's local to the Country I live in --->Canada
(These local events could be Canada, Alberta or Calgary)

The forth is an invention that is used everyday all over the world almost everywhere.(thou improved upon)

The 5th and 6th are personal and hard to guess so I will narrow it down for you.between Jan 1, 2007 and now. The Months for both start with Vowels.
