Want to share stuff with people? (in Off-topic)

If so, go to Opera.com and install the latest version. It has something called Unite in it that lets you share media, files, play games and more with people. I was wondering if anyone else used this, and if so, whats your page?

Here's mine: http://home.verifex.operaunite.com/

Remember, don't post anything non-pg.

Mine's http://acer.elyktc.operaunite.com. I've only got the media player installed right now though. So just ask me for the password if you want to listen to some new/different music ;-)

However, I tried giving the link to a friend of mine (the friend was using the latest version of opera) and he said the page would never load for him. Any idea why?

Do you need to use Opera for both publishing and subscribing?

RedWolf December 15 2009 2:55 PM EST

Yes I believe so. Might want to double check though.

It'd be a lot cooler if any browser could read.

any browser can I believe... at least I was able to connect to Fex with FF and chrome

AdminQBVerifex December 15 2009 5:53 PM EST

Any browser can connect, but whoever is hosting the files needs to leave opera open. It's really fast too, and doesn't put a big strain on the hosting computer. It's a really slick way for non-computer people to have a server. Besides, have you seen the sweet Opera Unite add-ons site? It lets you play games with people who connect, chat, whiteboard, just about anything, it's really extensible.
