NCB strat advice (in General)

{WW]Nayab [Cult of the Valaraukar] December 13 2009 5:46 PM EST

My current NCB is ending in the next 3 days and I am doing another one pretty much directly after it as I am dissatisfied about my win percentage.

So here is my current idea for my next NCB.
4 minion RoS team.
Minion 1
Max AS
500k AMF
RoS
AoI, BoF, TGs Corn.

Minion 2
1/3 Evasion
Max Haste
AoF, BoE, EC, SBs, EGs, Corn.

Minion 3
2/3 Str
1/3 DX
GA to damage cap
Exbow, AoM (want AoF), BoE, EC, EBs, BGs, HoC, BoM,

Minion 4
1/4 DM
Base Decay
Max AS
AoF, BoE, SBs, NSCs, Corn.

Opinions please. Needing help with item arrangement and character placement mostly. Still unsure whether i should put the RoS on the GA caster so that i can boost my Strength and Dexterity more.

What's your damage? Exbow and GA? Who are your targets going to be?

I doubt you're going to get any decent sized GA with training str and dx along with it. and I don't see how you're dealing any damage except for GA itself.... and base decay on a minion with over 20 hp = bad

Exbow, GA and decay :)
This strat is more to deal with DM users i.e. single minion archers.
Exbow to nerf their strength, GA and decay to lower health. I am likely going to rent a melee weapon for the tank as well. Still looking into what would be appropriate.

The problem with reducing the enemy tank's strength, especially if you have a large exbow, is that you get less GA return against them. You'll need a melee weapon.

Add that and then it's a decent strat. Although I'd add Giant Strength instead of the second AS. Old school fake tank strat in other words.

The other thing to think about, even with the haste, you might find yourself on the wrong side of the dex gap against archers, especially the single ones who can put a lot of XP into Dex.

Between the BoF and Exbow plus i have a 68 PTH. Do you think I will need more than that to hit most of those tanks?
And about the GS, I would prefer the AS as it makes a less specified target, so i can fight mages with the GA backlash more effectively. And what about my idea of moving the RoS to my tank to boost the GA, would that be a good idea or would it be better left where it is?

QBJohnnywas December 13 2009 6:16 PM EST

You'll be better raising that PTH. Never hurts.

Meanwhile, keep the RoS on your AS guy. You might want to try the TSA as an alternative to the BoE. Certainly leaving your tank free to wear body armour and a cloak give you more room to play around with bonus gears.

I just used the BoE because it is what i currently have available, as with all these items.
Thats also the reason why there is no melee weapon listed. So rent a TSA and decent melee weapon on the tank.
