Can't BS a weapon? (in General)

I've heard of items that cannot be forged such as elven gear, but I never knew there we items you couldn't BS...

Such as the War Hammer... :( ???

Most of the low level weapons are not able to BS.

You have to forge lower gear.

Why is this?

It's an attempt to encourage new users to upgrade to a better weapon.

I thought it was to prevent people from blotting out the blacksmith with tons of low upgrades for the sake of adding to it's queue. Something cleared up here. Though i guess the forcing a newbie out of a junk weapon is also a good thing ^_^

There is no BS que...at least that I know of.
Upgrades are instant.

The BS queue for large upgrades... wow, I forgot that ever existed. Probably because I had so few major upgrades in CB1...
