I do feel your pain though as my main pressie from wifey this year was a 3-tier food steamer..!
Alas, the Wii band hero was for daughter #2. The kids get all the good presents. They're off to bed now though and I'm getting to play with them at last! :)
Both my family and my girlfriends family got a wii or christmas. I'll
be playing lots of wii in the future it looks like ;)

Rockband != Band hero.
Band hero is still the "guitar hero" franchise from what I can see. And that particular one he's got has a lot of pop songs (hence for the kiddies). The ad with taylor swift singing and Travis Barker on drums IIRC.
