I honestly cannot remember if 98's ice storm froze stuff as intensely as in the picture above, but the article is still a very interesting read.

I was in Southeast Texas, Beaumont, when the ice storm hit in 1998. I was just talking about it this morning, before I saw this, heheh. It wasn't as bad as this, but everything was out for about 2 weeks.
