No one posted it yet so I will.

Nodar Kumaritashvili, 21, died last week during a training run for the men's luge event, Kumaritashvili hit a unpadded poll head on at 90 miles per hour. He was rushed to the hospital immediately but the doctors could not help him survive. Officials declared that the death was caused by human error.

This tragedy has had a lot of media attention because there is actual footage of the violent incident. Most of the sites that had the footage are down but if you search for it, you'll find it.

Someone watch it and tell me what happened. I don't want to have nightmares. :(

I'm not going to click the link, but thanks to the local and national media, I've seen it many times. The man lost control of the luge, flew into the air, and struck and unprotected support beam hard. Straight on. He likely died instantly or was at least knocked out why he bled out internally.

After too many complaints, my local media said they would stop showing it. Then we had three traffic fatalities due to an ice storm, caught on traffic cams. Guess what they started showing ad nauseum?

"No one posted it yet, so I will." Everyone else is showing remarkable civility and restraint, therefore it is up to me to be the ... what exactly is accomplished by trying to post the video?

He hasn't posted a video of it, Bast. He posted an interview with someone from the Olympic committee who spoke about the incident.
