I use Meebo (aim, icq, msn, facebook, gmail), that's about it.

meebo would be great, I think they offer some way to integrate their client into own websites. That way I could participate in chat, I'm behind a very restrictive proxy. ;)

Yahoo messenger, because back in the day, everybody I knew had yahoo... and now you can cross-chat with MSN anyway (I only have, like, 5 MSN contacts, but about 150 yahoo ones).
Also, Gtalk, because it's kinda' awesome and by Google :P
