Second Old School DnD Question (in Contests)

Never published, Elminster had a class privious to becoming a Mage (and Chosen of Mystra).

50K for guessing what it was.

(I came by this information by noticing his published HPs were too high for a Mage of his level, and by speaking to someone 'in the know'. ;) )

It's nothing system breaking, just never published. So it's a legal class.

Hmmm... Unless it was referenced in the Elminster novels, which I admit I've never read. ;)

So could be an easy one if it's mentioned there! :P

Oh it was like a rogue or a fighter, forgot which since he started off an orphan on the streets.

It was actually published btw in...

I can't remember the name now, but it was a newer supplement to DnD 3.0 and I remember seeing his stats.

Also I believe he had 2 levels in it, not one.

AdminQBGentlemanLoser [{END}] March 20 2010 8:46 PM EDT

Damn! They finally published it. ;) I didn't pick up any post second ed books, so my knowledge of that period is totally slacking. ;)

This shouldn't stop anyone from posting the publicised class to win. ;)

I'm going to go with rogue, since he started his life off as a thief.

AdminQBGentlemanLoser [{END}] March 25 2010 9:32 AM EDT

I tihnk I'll make this a little more interesting and stipulate his 2nd Ed stats. ;)

As for third it's easy to find he's a Fighter/Thief/Cleric/Mage/Whatever and in 4th (?) He's back to pure Wizard again.

If this was published for 2nd Ed, I'd like to see some sort of proof, otherwise, it'll be the class I had in mind, and it's not been mentioned yet. ;)
