Drops for charity (in General)

This thread has 2 purposes.

a) to promote dudemus's original idea of sending all his drops to the charity account. I've been doing so as well (and i'm sure we aren't the only ones, but he's the one i saw post the idea and i'm the only other i can speak for without watching the account, and came across a base ES earlier. Which brings me to point b...

b) should i be sending my crap drops over there as well, or should i just sell em and send the cash made rounded up to the nearest 10k so as to avoid cluttering charity with crap that would hinder worthwhile stuff getting there?

Since there is an item limit per character, I guess the best thing to do is auction the items and send the cash to charity to not clutter the inventory if a lot of players do so.

Plus, the items have to be auctioned anyway so that would save time to the player taking care of the charity.

Only negative point that could show up by selling your items yourself is that charity might get higher bids since... well, it's charity :)

It's why I send items. I might've been able to get a mil for a near-base SoD i sent over there, but Charity could likely pull in $3-5 USD for it.

I thought charity was only selling CBD for USD...?

I'm sure both are options, and just as sure that Charity earns more money per item/$CBD than any player would.
