I think I've spotted what's causing some of the CMs to show exposed HTML tags.
Will some of you fellow players please copy the following text and paste it in a CM to me (you can cancel the CMs if you wish):
test -- test
test -- test
If you cancel the CMs, just post in here if you saw exposed tags. Otherwise, I'll post what I receive.

Whoops. There's the problem. My above post was condensed improperly by the system.
The lines of text should TWO spaces between ever "test" and "--", not one! That's what I'm trying to test out here. Sheesh...

So in other words, copy and paste won't work, it must be typed.

To go ahead and explain matters, when the above text is typed out with TWO spaces in each place, it appears as this in the CM window:
test -- test <br>test -- test
With only one space in each place, it comes across just fine. When the system condenses the two spaces into one, it exposes the tags.
Quick note, I had to remove the space following the ">" to avoid having it appear as a quote.
Um...... sorry, I guess I'm being dense. I don't follow at all.

I just sent you an example of it.
To try it yourself, just type the above text as two lines to create the automatic (normally hidden) "br" tag. But be sure to include two spaces after "test," not the one that appears here (CB removed the extra space).

Demi I think you got it!
1) Copied and pasted exactly as you had it here in the forum
To: Demigod Sent: 1:02 AM EDT Cancel
test -- test <br>test -- test
2) Added the extra space like you said
To: Demigod Sent: 1:00 AM EDT Cancel
test -- test <br>test -- test <br>.
3) Copied and pasted, then backspaced to make the sentence fall into the same line, then hit enter at the very end of the first one to seperate the second ot the second line and the 2 separated like they were supposed to.
To: Demigod Sent: 1:02 AM EDT Cancel
test -- test
test -- test

Yep, if you have a double space anywhere, the BR tag shows.
Also if you have a double space at the end of a paragraph and try to start another line, it won't seperate and will stay on the same line and paragraph.
If you make sure you only have 1 space or none and hit enter to start the new paragraph it works >:]

Always wondered why I got so many BR tags, and it is because of being taught to have 2 spaces following a period.

I CMed NS to see if this is something that can be fixed or if we just need to learn to avoid it, but I think I confused him by talking about it being linked to the system condensing two spaces into one.

i was also taught that way. ; )
Has this been added to known issues?
