Think many feel CB needs a big update, a big change to give it that much needed shot in the arm.
The way I'd suggest this is done hopefully addresses what I consider to be the main problems :
1) Something completely new needed.
2) CB needs a form of never ending goals and aims, plus hugely increased rarity of items (the idea you can get all the rare stuff you will ever need in a few weeks is just stupid)
3) Needs more variety.
So here's the premise, the following new things are added into the game :
[A] New Business - Gem Traders
Description 'The Dwarves of the northern mountains often set forth in mighty trade caravans, exchanging the riches of the earth for the spoils of war'
- The dwarves accept any 'rare' item in a 1:1 exchange no matter of NW or rarity on the following basis :
Ranged weapon or elven gear = 1 Emerald
Str+ Armour or Melee Weapon = 1 Ruby
Armour that gives no stat+ = 1 Diamond
Enchant+ or DD+ armour = 1 Topaz
Other Armour = 1 Jet
- Players would simply select which piece of equipment to exchange and would receive a gem in return and the equipment 'vanishes'.
[B] New Supporter Item - Jewelery Set
Rather than receive one item, upon purchasing the set a player is given 2 'empty' rings and one 'empty' amulet. Each minion may wear 2 rings and an amulet, though without gems they have no effect, rings crucially do not effect PR. Each ring / amulet can be cast with one gem which give the following effects :
Emerald - Each + grants the wearer +1% to DX, +1 CTH & +1 Evasion
Topaz - Each + grants the wearer +0.5% to ED + EO spells plus +0.5% to DD spells.
Ruby - Each + grants the wearer +1% to STR & 0.02 Bloodlust (above cap)
Diamond- Each + grants the wearer +1% to trained Hp & +2 AC
Jet - Each + grants the wearer +3% to skills
[C] New Forger Skills - Setting + Combining
The only way to cast gems into jewelry is through forging, the cost + time spent would be similar to forging 1mil on an elbow or something near that amount.
The gems could also be attempted to be combined to form a stronger single gem, so for example two +1s become one +2, two +2s one +3 and so on, however doing so carries a very small risk that the combining process fails and one of the gems is destroyed. Again the combining process would be similar to the time + cost to a 1mil on a elbow or there abouts.
