i was posting a reply in a congrats thread and i got the message regarding there already being a post with that subject and text. this screen has a link entitled "go back." when i clicked on "go back" to change the text, i get an error screen that says this:
# "message" required but not supplied
# "one_line" required but not supplied
# "html_p" required but not supplied
# "refers_to" required but not supplied

actually, if you go to this thread:
http://www.carnageblender.com/bboard/q-and-a-fetch-msg.tcl?msg_id=0033DM
and type in woot! that is what gave me the duplicate warning.
dudemus, I need more information on this. Please give steps to replicate the issue.
man that takes the wayback machine to figure out! i have gotten the message before when posting short messages in congrats and happy birthday threads. i am not sure if the same exact post has to be in that thread or in any of your recent posts but suspect the latter. basically, if you often reply with the same exact wording in a post then it gives you the error.
i hope that makes sense.
The error of "duplicate post in system" is fine. That's working as intended. The error in your original post, however, you would typically see if you don't call the "post a message" page with the right page variables set. In other words, you got there without clicking on the right button, perhaps because you had a page cached and you hit Back or something. That's also working as designed.
I'm really not sure what to look for here.
i thought i might be confusing two issues, i would say it is safe to remove it as whatever happened it seems extremely rare. it did have a go back button so it is likely that you are correct.
