Quick Question (in Off-topic)

Let me start this off as a congratulations to novice for getting to where he did with his NCB char. He got to 5,511,945 which is 91.11% of the top mpr. Now my quick question is how far would he go if he purchased minions? Would it be enough to actually pass the top mpr, or just get close, or still be under the 95%? Just wondering was all.

And again, grats novice on the achievement of the character and the tattoo.

I would seem so from the formulas on MPR/exp and minion hiring.
MPR= (xp/1.4307)^(1/1.2501)
and XP on new minion is approximately Largest Minion XP/9 if the expensive option's chosen.
Solving for exp gives 382695893 exp.
multiplying that by 4/3 (assuming the hiring of 3 minions at the expensive option) and then resolving for MPR gives about 6938220 MPR, which would be 14.69% more than the current top MPR.

The expensive option = 127,562,404 CBD, though. If he hired once (more reasonable) he would have 5,996,520 MPR, which is about 99.1% of the top MPR.

Hiring minions would be more of a nightmare... the whole point of the char is xp concentration.

That said, I believe minion hires are one of the things that aren't factored in to tghe NCB.

I thought I read a long time ago that hiring was factored in. I wish someone better than me could find an old post from Jon that said something yes or no about it. Again I was just wondering is all.

I don't see how it could be... otherwise you could never really run a successful single-minion NCB, because even if you fought perfectly you'd be 3 hired minions under 95% of the top MPR.

I'm not going to go looking, but I can verify that Jon said it wasn't factored in. Only way to accomplish that would be an xp penalty on single minions, which would suck like a legion of hoovers.
