Assassination Game Interest Count (in Contests)

Object of the Game: Be the last assassin alive.

Cost to play: 20k

Winnings: Winner gets 95% of the pot, i'll keep 5% for transfer costs and setup.

Rules: Everyone who pays to play will be assigned a target by me. The targets go in a large circle, everyone having one person they need to kill, and one person that is after them. When you kill someone they will give you the name of thier target, which then becomes your new target. If the person you kill gives you your name as the target then you have won the prize.

How to score a kill: This is a forum based game. You are stalking your prey waiting for them to make a forum post. If you are the very next person to post after them, and in your post it contains something along the lines of "I assassinate you" then you have killed that person.

If you score a kill: Please CM that person with what thread you killed them in and CM me so I can keep the master record. That person will need to CM you back the name of thier target.

Additional bonus cash: If in your assassination post I deem you to be especially creative or amusing, then you get 5k of the winnings on the spot.

If you are interested in playing this, please just make a quick post here so I can check interest level. If I get over 10 interested folks then I'll officially start it up. Please don't start sending me money yet until I find out if there will be enough people to play.

Because it has been asked, the 5% isn't I'm taking 5% of the cut for profits, that's just my estimate of what the transfer fees are gonna cost, if I can transfer the winnings for less than 5% of the total then you'll get more than 95%.

Alright, I'll add the 10 people here in this thread to the game and the game will start roughly 48 hours from now.

If anyone else wants to join just post it here and you'll be adding to the list.

In 2 days I'll CM everyone thier targets and ~1 hour after I send you your first target you may begin assassinations, I will put what time GMT you can begin.

Any posts that your target made prior to this time GMT will be immune to assassination.

I've decided to tell you what time EDT the game starts since that is what is tagged in the forums, make it simple for you, and the game will start in approximately 1 hour, 20 minutes.

The CMs will be going out now, prepare for your targets assassins.

I suggest ammending the rules so that if someone assasinates someone else, then that post is immune to killing, or else we'll all wait for everyone else to make a move and it'll drag on forever and start affecting the forums.

But you're right, combo assassinations would end this game quickly.

You cannot assassinate someone's assassination post.

Don't worry I have other ways to get you to post in mind.

Also, everyone remember to name the person you are assassinating in your assassination posts, there can be failed assassination attempts if someone posts while you are typing your kill out.

So after you post an assassination, recheck the forum to see if you made a clean kill and then CM the target and myself to get your next target.

If you make a FS/WTB thread that is CM response only.

Admins are not allowed to reply to it and assassinate you. Well I guess technically they can do what they want.

But for my contest the assassination won't be valid if you intended the post to have no ability to reply to it.

Also, thanks to slayer and the pot being so high, creative assassinations will now be worth 20,000. In addition these payments will come out of the money 3rd place would of recieved, so first place will get 4 mil and 2nd will get 1 mil and 3rd will get 1 mil - creative assassination payments.

Having seen this game progress, i think that should there be another rule added.
Whether this rule would be added now or in a new game if this contest is rerun does not matter.

The rule i suggest is that all assassins must make at least one non-assassination post every 24 hours.

No, dude you did not initially kill slayer. If you had posted right after his post you would of been golden as he went immune at 8pm.

8PM however was sort of like a game reset, so once you made yourself able to snipe again, you had to look for posts that were timestamped after you picked up your sniper post.

Sorry for the confusion with the rules everyone, sometimes it's tough putting down what I'm thinking on paper and making sure everyone understands it.

they, just like the assassination posts are immune to assassination.

Zenai was kind enough to add a mil to the pot, which will be given to 2nd place, and a base item of thier choice (even a supporter).

So the new prize layout will be:

1st Place: 4 mil + any base item from Zenai.
2nd Place: 2 mil
3rd Place: 1 mil - bonuses to be given out for good in character posts.
