Assassins Event See Inside (in Contests)

Attention all Assassins, you have a choice to make coming up, your quarry is making it tough for you, but you have recently got some intel on a very nice sniper position and have very solid data on when he will be passing it.

On the other hand, you know that someone has been closing in on you and you might want to bunker down for a little bit.

On monday at 8PM EST you will have to make your decision.

Rules of the thread:

1) Please don't post here if you're not in the game still, and alive in the game.

2) If you are in the game still then you can start posting here at 8PM EST on monday.

3) In your post you have to say if you are taking the sniper position or the hideaway, good stories with it earn you bonus money.

4) Until you pick one of the two choices you cannot kill anyone. So everyone becomes immune to assassination at 8PM EST and you will be immune until your assassin posts here. So in order to kill someone ever again you will need to make a choice.

5) If you pick the sniper position, you can kill your target with up to 2 posts behind him for the rest of the game. Once your current target dies, you leave your post and go back to the normal rules.

6) If you pick the hideaway position, you get a free life. The first time you are assassinated after making your choice, you just have to post in that same thread that you were defended by the hideaway (good stories with it are appreciated)

7) Make sure you cm back your assassin to let him know what happened and myself.

8) I will be checking the thread to see what everyone picks.

Growing weary of slipping between the shadows, Ankou decides a bit of height may aide him in his hunt for his elusive opponent. Spotting a bell tower on the west side of town, he climbs to the top and gets set up. Yes, this will do.

I put a long heads up so that people can plan when they want to post on monday to avoid assassination.

to answer a couple questions:

assassinations can happen in this thread, so although it's mandatory it's also dangerous, best be early.

if you choose sniper and your target choosing hideaway, you don't lose your sniper positioning after you snipe him once and fail. You keep the sniper nest until you get a new target, so you'll get a couple shots from it.

remember, you can still assassinate all the way up until 8pm est. after that, you can't assassinate until you post here, and you have to find posts that were done after you post here. so if you post at 9pm, you can't go kill someone in another thread that posted at 8:45 even if he's in range.

I'm sorry Titan, but we did just have a tournament on reading rules. I kill you.

It'll all be over soon. Extra forces will be on the way, and all the chaos will end. The question is: Do I want to go out in a blaze of glory, kicking tail and taking names? Or do I play it safe and wait for the others to show?

It's been a bloody week, and in my favor. I was forced to turn on my comrade Tal Destra... poor guy never had a chance. He was a good friend, but the mission had to be accomplished. I'm not here to make friends, I'm here to do my job. Meteor Phoenix was a tough foe, but greed always got in the way. Baited him with jibber jabber about some prize for a "tournament"... he basically did the work for me. All that remains are the best of the best though, and amateur play won't cut it here. Since the war began, I've seen a shadowy figure lurking behind me cautiously... I've been careful to not give him an opening to seal my fate, and so far it's paid off.

You can only get lucky so many times... As soon as I make a move to take someone else out, the man in the shadows will make his move... He's played it safe up to this point, but he knows as well as I do that time is running out, and if he intends to kill me, now's the time to do it. I best lay low for now. This will make a nice hideaway.

Lamu goes up to the designated rendevous point. It was a bit cliche, but the bell tower was definitely the best spot. Upon arrival, Lamu found an attache case already waiting. Opening it, Lamu finds a sniper rifle.

Lamu takes out a carrier pidgeon and writes down the message to be sent off: Sniper in position.

Hiding in his chosen bell tower, Ankou takes sight on his opponent. One shot. One shot is all it took to hit his target. Dudemus is slain.

As I walk into my safehouse merely two blocks away from my car, I feel compelled to check the time on my phone. I find the phone suspiciously turned off, but think nothing of it. After turning the phone on, I hear the distinct sound of an explosion. I learned later that night that my house, car, pool, and girlfriend were all rigged to explode the moment I turned on my phone. Luckily, my wily assassin did not think his plot through, and the phone was, oddly enough, not a bomb.
