Band of wookies score (in General)

I'm not sure how clans work fully, but I don't understand how Band of Wookies has a score of 14,707.

If I add up all the scores, 2546+3798+1888+2450-892-2946-102=6752

What am I missing?

There is an ongoing issue with clan scores, I believe NS is working on it.

also i think that individual scores are real time and clan score only updates hourly or something. someone else may be able to verify that though.

The negative cost of rituals is applied to user scores but not to the clan score. It's a very hard bug to find a way around.

All the scores are always off by a little but it seems that BoW scores are always off by a lot. Not saying they are doing anything wrong, but the use of a bug for an unfair advantage is not very nice and should be frowned upon. If this is not the case please disregard my post.

It's not like SeeD have been changing thier rituals. Like activating Insight when they burn BA and then SoS after to lower what's taken away from them...

Oh, now I get it. I thought we were just really bad, but after looking at it closely, first and second are just way off and everyone else seems to be really close to their actual numbers. So either the first two clans need to stop using the rituals to stop just getting the automatic first and second place and actually have to start earning it or every other clan need to start doing the same thing and turning on rituals left and right to keep up with the you guys.

I don't usually care at all, but when it's brought up and you look and the first two clans are a more pedestrian 6k to 7k clan points instead of their inflated 10k + it really sticks out like a sore thumb. Personally I think both clans should stop abusing the bug. I seem to remember old posts where people that abused a bug for benefit got reset. Let me dig up some old posts. Maybe that would make you guys stop. I'm sure a full clan reset would really suck.

And besides we were always around the number 1 spot before this started happening. A competing Clan upped thier game by use of the Rituals, and we responded.

Maybe other Clans should start doing similiar, until it's decided that Rituals shouldn't work that way and they are changed, or they are turned off.

Everybody's off by about 10%, including your clan. SeeD has 14500 some points, and we're showing at 16000. Your clan's at 2000, and showing 2200. I doubt that it's a bug that people are abusing intentionally, or it looks like you'd get reset too.

I'm just wondering why Band of Wookies is off by so much more.

The bug is that your clan -- any clan -- is not effectively charged for activating a ritual. I still don't know what to do about that. I am waiting on an explanation from Jon.

Ok so if I am understanding you correctly NS:
*A clan uses a ritual and it takes from the members score?
*Taking from the members score would then prevent their scores from adding up to the clan score?
*But the clan score is un-phased?

How about disabling rituals that effect clan scores until such time as charging actually works?

Clan scores are a bit of fun really. What the Clan wars are all about. Disabling those Rituals would just get people to use the other, more game effecting ones instead.

Like the +10% Spell or Intrinsic ones.

If the way they work currently isn't a wanted mechanic, then the only real option would be to disable all them until it's sorted, if you think it's issue enough to disable any of them...

I guess the right thing to do is to shut them all off. So, it is done :( :(

well when you have 8 people all fighting in a clan It shouldn't drop that drastically...

i was able to activate leviathan scales today, but the other ulmo rituals weren't there. were some rituals turned back on?

I am not able to activate mine.

I turned it on to test things. Also, it's an easy way to keep the ritual description page from causing a server error.

to be clear it is just the leviathan scales ritual that was turned back on. ulmo is da god! ; )
