[Suggestion] Server Time (in General)

Would it be possible to have a small server time clock displayed in the left hand bar? It'd help keep track of wacky times and serve as reference for chatmails and so on. Just makes life easier for those in different time zones, I guess.

The time's listed on the Community Page, under Trivia, but would be a cool addition to the left pane. ;)

i have also seen some tabs in tabbed browsers that show clocks which i like as you can check the time without even going to the tab or while viewing other web pages.

the left pane would be awesome as well though.

It would fit right next to the (get more) wouldn't it?
:-)

raikkanto August 21 2010 6:16 PM EDT

It could fit anywhere. As long as it's self-updating (ie. it ticks, not just on page refreshes) then it could prove useful. I could see it under the *Refer A Friend* being "Server Time (EST): XX:XX:XX".

I know figuring out time zones and so on isn't rocket surgery, but convenience is never a bad thing.

I thought the chat timer adjusted by user. I guess I'm just lucky to be in the right zone. I don't see a big need for this change, but if others do, so be it. My only request is that if it gets added, please get rid of something else to keep the clutter in check. Do enough people use "Log Out" to warrant it being on the main page?

I'm not wild about this idea. I'll do it if a lot of people +1 the change, but until then, I see it as unhelpful.

/me points at the clock in the bottom right hand corner.

Add 2 or -2 or whatever. Once you figure it out the first time it wont change.

Fuhgawz August 21 2010 11:46 PM EDT

could set you computer to EST.

And now we are supposed to do math?

Demigod August 22 2010 12:24 AM EDT

It is a math based game. It's like more game for your money.

I could disprove this, but to do so would take a good bit of math.

Well played sir, well played.
