how about having a clan bank and allowing clan member to choose a tithe percentage to have automatically put into the clan bank as well as allowing the clan bank to be used as an alternate method of paying for clan rituals?
as an alternate implementation, we could allow one clan ritual to be purchased with the clan bank and another different one to be purchased with clan points.

No. Then USD dominates the game even more...
that is why i said automatic tithing. the only way to get money into it would be through the automatic tithes taken out of each battle. i guess i didn't explain that real well.
in effect, you would choose like say 5% for your tithe amount. that money would be withdrawn automatically from fight rewards and placed in the guild bank. there would be no way to add more, other than changing your percentage, and no way to withdraw. the percentages could be 1 to 5% to keep the money placed in the guild bank at a minimum.

Ah disregard then, yes a tax system would be nice as long as ritual to money ratio can be figured correctly. Like a clan with 7 people fighting, SeeD would largely outweigh the other clans... Just dont want this coming back to hurt SeeD again...
That was actually the way it was going to be done in an earlier prototype.
personally i would have liked that mechanic better. i have never really liked the way clan points were implemented and adding new features that are built upon that system just makes it worse in my mind.
How does that not make USD even more important? If I have a clan full of "buyers", everybody donates 5% from their fights because they can always buy more. Clans without buyers, particularly builders, will have members tithing far less and less able to afford to be able to, in effect, buy a better clan bonus.
The only one I'm seeing benefit here is the $10/croak toad.
then make something called tokens that we get. one per fight that go into the clan token bank. we can even call it teeth of our enemies! ; )
the idea is to make clans be more multi-dimensional. the current clan ritual system really did nothing to change up clans or give them more depth. imho, of course.
