cadillac problem: unequipped item slots (in General)

AdminQBnovice [Cult of the Valaraukar] October 1 2010 1:24 PM EDT

Would doubling the number of unequipped armor and weapon slots be that bad? I've got a number of armor choices for my char and I'm currently having to shuffle it all between chars.

CB at the top is tending towards having multiple armor setups to prevent farming. I personally love that that facet of the game is growing again, and would like to encourage it. Even with a single minion and not having all the items I want I'm still completely out of space.

Agreed.

What do you think about the idea of having named Armor Sets, like we do for training sets? I could probably pull this idea off pretty much the same way too.

Agreed again. This thread is full of win.

I've never seen a downside to just removing item limits entirely, but this is a cool idea.

I love the idea of armor sets. Maybe it could also change minion positions as well?

Configurable, selectable "party setups" are a fantastic idea, and I'd propose one step further:

In the list of all your "party setups," be able to designate one as your "attack" setup and one as your "defense" setup.

I know this is unlikely to be added, but it's pretty darn common to be switching between a "normal" attacking set with less things equipped for higher bonuses, and a "defensive" set with everything equipped to deter farmers. Taking the manual switching out would save a lot of time and "unnecessary" effort equipping and unequipping a bunch of items.

would this be a problem when renting items that have returned, same for loaners? or what about auctioning those very items. and if someone, and im sure this will happen with a 4minion team where they switch the entire parties gear? that means you need to have more slots for unequipped items just on that character or do as many have suggested make a user pool that can be used throughout all char. but then what happenned when people buy/sell too many auctions and do gear swap, you would still get limited on overall slots.

the most gear that can be equipped is 38 on a 4minion team provided they have both cb-t and no tattoo equipped.

ScrObot October 1 2010 6:35 PM EDT

"Party setups" would have to be implemented along with expanded or unlimited item slots. Rented or loaned items that were returned would just have to be removed from whatever party setups they were in, just like they disappear from minions if they are equipped now.

I like this idea, but I have always thought that instead of a max for each character why not have all characters able to take from 1 storage area and have a max for that instead. Like a storage locker for all your characters.

It was really pure luck that I saw my next target: AK. And, of course, I marked him with my initials just like I would everyone else.

On topic: I like the idea too :3
