Helped me absolutely none.

They're just dudes in a call center, not like they're actually there to help. You've got to be able to make them help you!

So what's your malfunction anyway?

I tried to make him help me the whole time, he just kept giving me an alternate number to call :(

My malfunction is that this laptop, since I bought it a month and a half ago, periodically freezes and makes a loud buzzing sound. Sometimes it only lasts for a few seconds and then continues as normal, and sometimes it completely freezes. When it completely freezes, I can only shut down the computer with the power button to get it un-frozen.

It also only freezes when I'm running visual media, so I tried updating my NVidia driver. Really glad I set a restore point first, that totally broke me.

What happened when you called the other number?

I dont have that problem, but does your keyboard type multiple keys when you dont want it to every once in a while?

All products come with a 1 year manufactures warranty free from defects and such. Why can you say its broken, label it as audible noise and get it fixed.

If it's anything like Dell, they'll screen hard to try and show that it's a user issue. We had a laptop with a faulty MB, and the tech support guy (outsourced, of course) kept saying we had to turn it on and troubleshoot it before he would send a shipping box for repairs. The sentence "it won't turn on" took 2 hours for him to accept.

I *heart* Dell's onsite level support, the hinge on my machine was getting sketchy recently, couple days later a nice man came to my office and put a brand new screen on.
