Why was the mentor system done away with? (in General)

With the tutorial the way it is, I just can't think of a good reason to get rid of the mentor system. Let's bring it back!

Jon did that a while back, based on the number of people actually getting responses from their mentees or something...

There were a lot of people signed up for the mentor system who were, quite frankly, not exactly competent at helping others. Not to mention you could become a mentor while you were still well in your NUB. I don't mind a mentor system, and think one would be helpful, but not in the previous incarnation.

i keep talking with Zenai, Natasha, Tal, Kefeck asking advises as they are awesome masters anyway... i think if you interact with people you don't really need menthor system even thought i use them a lot
