You guys think it's safe to say Jonathan has lost all interest in maintaining this game?

Who knows, although it's more likely than not... it wouldn't take but 5 minutes for him to log on and tell us what's preventing him from working on the game, even if it's something obvious like "i'm busy raising this family". If he's not dead, I'm going to say he doesn't care anymore.

It's safe to say he has cared for his creation much better than some other developers. The community he created persists long after many games of the same era are dead.

Jonathan is working, harder than 99% of the people playing this game.
Harder than I'm likely to ever work. Trading most of his life for a job that may or may not work out. Most of the people complaining have no idea.

NightStrike isn't Jon. He's better. He's friendlier, and he cares about the survival of this game.

What do you really want from Jon? A change? It's being worked on, as hard as the few people we've got can with the limited time they've got. Volunteers are pouring hours into numerous projects trying to help.

Well, I guess that's not true, it should be coming to your phone. Getting into the Apple App Store, or Android Market could mean dozens of new users. I for one can't think of a single mobile rpg that compares to CB. Mobile efforts require less development time than facebook does, and could with even a few hours work open a marketing avenue we've never tried. CB is well suited to mobile play, custom CSS can even make it more touch friendly.

Yep I had no idea. I tried looking for those threads, but could not find any ( I only looked for 10 minutes or so though).

In a related note I found this thread regarding an Iphone app not much information in there but still kind of interesting. Hopefully this time we get a little farther then our previous attempt (We're counting on you titan ;p)

Jon is busy fulfilling his life's dream of becoming a John Travolta look alike. A bald one. That's his gimmick!

You're right. We never get updates on Jon or any indicator of what his intentions are. He went from having a lot of involvement to being a deadbeat dad to the game. It's nice to finally have a clue as to what's he occupied with, but it would still be nice to see him pop in every once in a while to give some idea that he hasn't quit the game.


Aye. I haven't dealt with Jon since 2004, but he was known for being rather harsh at times. NS has a much better bedside manner.

I was home for 3 days in August. Last night I got back from Brussels; the week before that I was in Atlanta; the week before that, San Francisco. Starting a company is like that. :)

Maybe you should have started a lame company doomed to fail.... way more time off if you go that route!
