This is a bump for a useful thread that no one's using.

My brother decided to build his first computer and just emailed me a list of the parts he bought from NewEgg. For $609.93, that's a hell of a lot of PC.

CPU -- INTEL|CORE I5 750 2.66Ghz -- $199.99
GPU -- GeForce GTS 450 FPB Video Card -- $79.99
MB -- GIGABYTE GA-P55-USB3 -- $94.99
OS -- WIN HOME PREM 7 64-BIT -- $84.99
PSU -- CORSAIR|CMPSU-550VX 550W -- $49.99
CASE -- RAIDMAX|ATX-612WB -- $49.99
RAM -- 2Gx2|GSKILL -- $49.99

GIFT PC GAME NVIDIA HAWX 2 -- Free
GIFT GIGABYTE 4GB USB R -- Free

Total -- $609.93

Shipping was free on everything but the GPU (roughly $6, not included in the total)

Now if only I could get him to learn how to overclock... assuming all of the cores are unlocked. I think I'll pick up 4 more gigs of RAM to make it 8. It's a shame to leave room on the table, and I need to come up with more gift ideas for the holiday.
