find me a program to "sync" the text messages off a motorola clutch i465, the screen is broken and you can't see anything

it is my mothers phone, she recently broke it by dropping it... it has texts from my dad on there, and as the community knows he passed away in august...

I've used BitPim countless times, but I've never seen the ability to pull data of texts. Then again, the version I used was five years old, so maybe they have something by now.
