Awesome!

It was fun testing this. Also:

EDIT: this one is better - novice

Nice!

Little question, is it meant to be set up so the vids play automatically as they load or is that something Veri has done for the Rick Roll vid? Because if a post has a lot of vids and they're all going to start up as the thread opens that is going to be very annoying....

(Actually looking at the instructions I guess that is exactly what is going to happen, unlike the Youtube embed link which doesn't start them automatically)

AdminQBVerifex December 31 2010 1:32 PM EST

No, that's not how it works Johnny, they don't autoplay unless you SET them to autoplay. Which requires adding some extra stuff to the end of the url.

QBJohnnywas December 31 2010 1:47 PM EST

Veri, the vid you've posted, and the replacement Nov has put up are both autoplaying as the thread opens.

QBJohnnywas December 31 2010 1:53 PM EST

Did you do something? Or was it happening at this end, because now when the thread loads the vid is ready to play but not playing (thankfully!)

PearsonTritonRaveshaw December 31 2010 3:15 PM EST

Autoplay would be irritating for the forums. 10 videos playing at once all on the same page, *shudder*

FailBoat[SG] [Forever Alone] December 31 2010 5:03 PM EST

Fexy, the video you posted gets about one minute in and then freezes, unable to load anything further.

AdminNightStrike January 4 2011 9:30 AM EST

I'd actually appreciate forcing autoplay to disabled in the URL handling. Patch to do so is pre-approved.
