Chat Broken?? (in General)

I just noticed that I keep getting access denied errors from the java chat applet. A quick search showed this thread from way back in February: Chat broken?? Unless I'm mistaken, I wasn't online to cause any issues with chat. It started giving me access denied errors the moment I logged in . . . Anyone else seeing this?

Yup. Thought it might have been someone killing people from chat as a joke, but if you weren't in chat and now can't get on, then I don't know.

But have you been able to use chat before now? I believe there's an issue if you never completed the much-hated tutorial prompts.

Whoops. Mine didn't refresh after all... it just nuked itself.

I've completed all of the tutorial prompts, and I have been in chat previously. In any event, I think its time for me to hit the sack :)

Few hours ago it was showing me just a black screen, now it's access denied.

I seem to have graduated to a completely blank chat window now. Looking at the page source for that frame, I would say that the html is missing a few quotation marks around attributes. So, this may work in some browsers and not in others . . . . .

what browser are you using?

I usually use chrome.

Well, it seems chat is back for me now . . . huh.

Since you're a new user, I'll let you in on a little secret.... when I claimed that it worked for me, that was after I quietly killed the server process and restarted it. You'd have had to reload your app to connect again :)
