Training Screen Request (in General)

Yes, yes - another day, another whinge.
What is the thinking behind the awkwardness of the training page?

If I want to train 10% PL and the rest in HP I have to hit two apply changes.
Now, also that's not quite the ratios I want, so every now and again I have to remember to not train PL when I train.

Would it be *so* hard to change the page to give you better control over the process.

I could, for example, envisage a screen whereby you specified the exact percentages required, with 0 = no training in that particular stat, between 0 and 1 stats take that percentage, and then all stats with 1 set taking an equal share.

Yes, I'm lazy and can't always be bothered firing up my calculator - anyone else?

Although I agree with this considering how many skills are based off how much other skills are trained, I think problems would arise from bonuses/penalties arising from armor and such.

Totally agreed here. It's another pointless challenge that new players face when they join the game. When you start off playing CB, you shouldn't need to learn HOW to train your stats, it should be easily intuitive. Why would anyone think that placing 33, 66, and 100% experience in 3 different stats would give them an equal distribution of exp?

Has this existed since the beginning of CB?

no, believe it or not the current system is a great improvement over the original.

As far as 2005...

EoD - All I want is to be able to distribute 25,384 XP in the ratio that I think will best suit my char - to divide stuff by other stuff is what computers do best, no??

I am in agreement: a simpler training system for the user could definitely be devised.
