Xbox (in Off-topic)

Let's get some chatter going...

What are some Xbox titles I should pick up? Here are the best ones I've played so far:

Batman: Arkham Asylum
Dragon Age: Origins (which I played because of you guys)
Mass Effect 2
Assassin's Creed 2
Fable 2

I hate frenetic games like Bayonetta, and I'm banned, so nothing on the marketplace. Name some other must-haves.

Borderlands, Black Ops, Fable 3

Black ops, and an unbanning

Fuhgawz January 10 2011 8:16 PM EST

agree with the unbanning. what did you do to get yourself banned? Is your console banned or just your live account?

Demigod January 10 2011 8:23 PM EST

I played Black Ops. Single players was okay (MoH was better). I played online matches a ton while family was in town with an unbanned console.

I can't play Fable 3... despite a couple of attempts to patch it, it looks like I'm stuck until a firmware update.

I got caught in the November 2009 ban wave. Just like everyone else, I got banned for my library of copied games. I properly checked all of them, but I guess ABGX missed one. It's the console that's banned, but I have no interest in getting another until the 720 comes out.

If you like Dragon Age you'll also enjoy Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion

Played twice: PC & 360

Fallout 3 as for Oblivion it takes a little to get into but is a good game Assassins Creed Brother Hood, Saints Row 1 and 2.

I like Borderlands and Halo: Reach, tho Halo won't be as enjoyable without being online. I also enjoy Civilization. If you do get borderlands get the newest version which includes the 4 expansion packs.

I've got two copies of Borderlands but have yet to play the game.
And Fallout 3 was hugely disappointing to me. I endured eight hours of it before tossing that disc aside. I've also never liked Halo games, but I've got Reach ready to burn.

Right now I'm working on Mass Effect 2, and it's stellar. It plays very similarly to Dragon Age, only it's not a chore to talk to everyone.

Demigod January 10 2011 10:27 PM EST

(And I've never played ANY Civ game...)

I'll second (or third maybe) Borderlands, so will Pit, we played a lot and would probably play more if anyone wants.

AdminTal Destra January 10 2011 10:49 PM EST

Red Dead Redemption

Demigod January 10 2011 11:11 PM EST

I think I'm the only person who didn't like Red Dead Redemption. It was fine for a little while, but then it grew tiring the same way the it did when the game was called GTA.

Red Dead Redemption: Undead Nightmare

How often do you get to see 20th century yale graduate crackheads get mauled by zombies.

Well a bit to the side of the main topic of any xbox gamers out there want to add me my gamertag is "Dark Lord White" without the quotations

I went ahead and grabbed Civilization: Revolution from the recommendation above. Great little game... far better than Halo: Reach, which was the one I ended up getting after this thread. Why exactly do people like Halo?

InebriatedArsonist February 6 2011 6:33 PM EST

Borderlands is a great game. I've put more than forty hours into it already, and I haven't even touched any of the DLC.

Because they are tools.

Why exactly do people like Halo?

The multiplayer has always been Halo's appeal, really.
