I remember CB used to have plenty of rogue players and while Dwarf Fortress isn't exactly one, I was wondering if anyone played this horrible wonderful little game.
For those of you not familiar with the game: The game's site and The Wiki might help you get acquainted with it
I was also wondering(if enough people actually play)if there were CBers interested in a taking part in a community succession game.
Quoted right from the catsplosion page "One word : cage" and the thermonuclear catsplosion was someone who modded the raw files. There are actually a bunch of fun things you can do with the raws.
I was thinking of something around a bloodline game OB.
One person starts the fort plays for 1 in-game year, zips the save and uploads it somewhere for the next person to take over, repeat until 'Fun' occurs.
The 'epic wars' tend to be sieges and ambushes on your civilization by goblins, trolls and kobolds... although if you annoy the elf, human or dwarf civilizations(your trading partners) enough they may declare war on you.
I forgot to link http://code.google.com/p/dwarftherapist/ for anyone who may be giving the game a whirl, It essentially helps you assign/unassign professions to your dwarves without having to find each dwarf and scroll through all the menus.
