Help! Fossil watch... (in Off-topic)

Demigod January 24 2011 10:26 PM EST

I have a Fossil watch, and for the life of me, I can't figure out how the hell to change the stupid battery. The problem is the leather cuff blocking the back. The cuff is attached by permanent metal fasteners, and the pins at the time-piece weren't made to pop out, as there's no room and attempts to do so would scar the leather. What's up with this beast? How do I change the battery?!

Whoever can figure this out will save the life of a teenage Fossil employee at the mall.

The solution is to become more irresponsible.... misplace the watch and your problem is solved!

Oh. I thought you'd lost some fossils and wanted us to find them. I want Archaeopteryx.

Have to get the watch away from the band by removing the pins holding it. This vid should work.

If that doesn't work might have to resort to a pin remover kit.

Crap. I think you're right. There's really no room for me to get creative with knives, so I might have to break down and buy a spring bar. :(

Mission accomplished. I found a very thin blade, wrapped everything but the tip, and pushed hard. Bingo.
