I believe I got the internet in 1995. By 1997, AOL had tons of chat rooms dedicated to "warez." You just typed a chat command and had any game emailed to you... in 30 separate emails. But after spending 24 hours downloading them at 56k, you had a game... assuming no one in the family got ticked that you tied up the only phone line for 24 hours straight and picked up a phone to disconnect you.

The internet for me when I got it involved alot of single serving websites. Some informative(www.purple.com) and some sick and there were the funnies and sillies(www.webhamster.com).

Nowadays we are running out of IP's.

i had forgotten that i used to play an rpg game on prodigy net in 1991 or 1992. after that i got on aol before finally moving to an isp by 1995 or 96.
