Guitar Hero is now a zero. (in Off-topic)

So the guitar hero franchise has been discontinued along with DJ hero. It would seem the latest instalment of Guitar Hero had a 223 million deficit. About 500 employees got laid off as a result.

'bout time, it had novelty fun but never a game I wanted to be hardcore at. Plus real guitars are not so picky and you can be a bit sloppy and not get booed off the stage.

An assessment I read basically places much of the blame on the record labels for continually raising the licensing fees for each track to the point that the game became unprofitable regardless of sales figures. Surprise, they shot themselves in the foot yet again...

Never had any interest in playing them. And they took up too much space at the local gaming stores.
