Suggestion: Skill/Item (in General)
February 18 2011 3:27 PM EST
I'm aware the coders are already overworked and these will probably never be added to the game even if they were balanced... but boredom prevails on my end.
First suggestion, possibly useless but an idea:
Maximize spell- Needs to be trained to 1/5 DD spell for max effect. Eliminates randomness in DD spell damage up to 100% Max damage/hit at 1.00.
You won't be able to do more damage in round 1 of ranged than in round 5 which is currently possible.
Constant damage output making the AMF backlash that is scaled to your maximum possible damage not seem as bad.
Added money sink as elven gears(or boots at least) on a mage would become a possible armor alternative.
That amount of exp trained into your DD could possibly add enough damage to make it pointless.
That amount of exp trained into your DD would most likely add better defense against AMF.
Second Suggestion, possibly OP or a new supporter item:
Casting Glove - O base ac, upgrade curve similar to NsCs, + do not add AC. For each + on the gloves the wearer receives a 0.5% resistance to Dispel Magic.
Tweaks, flames, or comments? Discuss below.
I like both of them. At first I thought no to the skill because it seemed too good. However, after reading the Pros and Cons, I can see its use in the game and it would add a little more diversity.
The gloves actually don't seem that good. The highest you could really go with them is 7-8% resistance and that is not game breaking in the least. However, it would be nice to finally have some gloves to use on an enchanter.
You mean other than a pair of NsC on a Decay enchanter?
Yes which is quite boring and terrible if your using AS as AMF kills him.
BoE, SB and Common Corn+10...
6.6% + 2.0% + 20%...
not enough of a bonus?

Str has TG, HoE, BoM, TSA and AoM
Dex has the elven gears and even the BoE if you want.
DD has the CoI and AG on top of the BoE and SBs
A further boost to enchantment levels wasn't mentioned. You just proved that ED/EO actually have the least applicable bonuses available to any non-HP stat.
