Laptop Suggestions? (in Off-topic)

My current toshiba satellite just took a black crystallized ebola poop on me, and this is the last straw. It's happened at least 5 times already (don't know how it recovered itself over time) but I think I'm ready for a new laptop.

I'm pretty tech talk inept, so I never know if I'm getting the bang for my buck.

Things that I regularly do/use:
1) WEB BROWSING (derp)
2) NETFLIX!!! (HD please)
3) WC3, DoTA, HoN, LoL
4) Photoshop

Would also be nice if it wasn't a lap searing electron power beast like my current toshiba (easily gets up to unbearable against jean covered skin)

Efficiency over money works kinda like a bell curve. I don't want to be in the middle, nor do I want to be in the top tier. I want something that can run these things simultaneously AND smoothly.

The only issue with lappies is that you'll want to check the graphics chip to see what it can handle for games. In this case, it's an ATI Radeon HD 4250. This has bang for the buck, but proper gaming laptops can get expensive.

Since you said you're "tech talk inept" I'll put the graphics chip in gaming perspective. Here's a quote from the web:

"I just bought a Toshiba laptop with a Mobility Radeon HD 4250. So far I've played Crysis, Left 4 Dead, Modern Warfare 2, and Starcraft II. All of them run pretty well I can easily get better than 30fps on any of these titles. I had to go into the Catalyst Control Center and turn the 3D quality and pefromance all the way to performance level. I get between 40 and 65 FPS in L4D at 1280x720 res all effects on high, shaders very high 16:9 aspect raito AA off, SC2 averages about 33FPS, Crysis between 29 and 43. All very playable."

I had a dell once and I was not happy at all with it. HD failed like 2 years and a week just after the warranty. They also outsource their technical support.

I'm surprised no one else is putting in links. CB is always a great resource for these requests.
