Looking for a new game to play with a friend of mine. We really enjoy the questing RPG games like D2 and dungeon siege 2. We were considering running through dungeon siege 3 but the game reviews seemed kinda low.

So if you know of any great multiplier games that we should try out let me know and thanks in advance :).

What about a shooter mmo. I'm currently playing Global Agenda and its quite fun. Its free to play so you can try it out if you like. It has some of the RPG questing elements in it, though I wish there were a bit more. Basically its like a combination of a first person shooter and an mmorpg.

Are you looking for console/pc games, or online games as well?

Eliteofdelete [Battle Royale] July 13 2011 10:23 PM EDT

Mostly just pc games.

I have heard of global agenda but when I was looking into it I don't think it was free and it had issues with not enough people playing. I might take another look at it.

AdminTitan [The Sky Forge] July 13 2011 10:25 PM EDT

free or not?

MMO or just like multiplayer?

Shadow xEclipse July 13 2011 10:31 PM EDT

Well, I'm not much of a pc gamer, so I guess I can't really help.. D=
As far as DS 3 goes though, I heard that the second player cant choose their character and progress doesn't save for them. (Not sure though.) I plan to rent it when I get home around mid August, so if you haven't tried it by then I will give you an update!!

Eliteofdelete [Battle Royale] July 13 2011 10:42 PM EDT

Free or not doesn't matter.

I would prefer to stay away from MMO only because there seems to be a ton and non of them really catch my eye like the first one I played.

Yea, I read similar things about DS 3. It is also apparently really short compared to the others in the series.

Borderlands was pretty good as a shooter RPG.

Shadow xEclipse July 13 2011 11:01 PM EDT

Haha, I actually haven't played any of the others in the series. And I know this one is old, but Borderlands is worth it if you haven't picked it up yet. ;P

Eliteofdelete [Battle Royale] July 13 2011 11:09 PM EDT

Yeah I already played and beat Borderlands, thanks tho.

Shadow xEclipse July 13 2011 11:14 PM EDT

Hmmm... If they have any Kingdom of Fire games on the pc, then those might be fun!!

QBPit Spawn [Abyssal Specters] July 13 2011 11:24 PM EDT

Sacred 2

Wait till November 11, buy Skyrim, retire b/c life is now complete.

Shadow xEclipse July 14 2011 1:19 AM EDT

YES Titan. I pre ordered Gears 3 from Amazon and got a $20 off coupon and used that towards Skyrim. That game is going to be INSANE! =D

Eliteofdelete [Battle Royale] July 14 2011 1:45 AM EDT

Sacred 2 looks really good. I plan on trying that one out tomorrow.

I enjoyed Morrowind a lot. Spent easily 100-200 hours on that game. Then all the hype about Oblivion got me really excited for it. It seemed like it was going to have a ton of new amazing features and all this other stuff but it ended up failing in my eyes in a lot of ways. It also seemed to have only implemented very rudimentary elements of the things they promised.

So from that experience, I am not getting all excited for Skyrim. When it comes out, and after I get to play it, I will make a decision about it.

Shadow xEclipse July 14 2011 1:53 AM EDT

Haha, I know how you feel! Skyrim looks much more polished though.. I mean, random and unscripted dragon fights, dragon shouts, the new combat system, quests that shape to your playstyle, being able to look at a mountain in the distance, and then running to the top of it... Gonna love it. =D

Some great multiplayer games I've played recently:

Portal 2
Team Fortress 2
PAM (Post-Apocalyptic Mayhem)

MissingNo July 14 2011 9:22 AM EDT

Is Hellgate fun?

Eliteofdelete [Battle Royale] July 17 2011 3:24 AM EDT

Turns out this game is a nightmare to get working. It works fine on my laptop but after installing it on my friends computer it won't load the start menu with the character select and so forth. Now on the 4th install of it which is about half way done. Hopefully this clean reinstall combined with acquired knowledge from forums will get it to work if not tho we are going to give up. Already spent 12+ hours trying to diagnose the problem and find solutions. -_-

Haven't tried hell gate before. The hell gate London always looked interesting but I never got around to playing it and the reviews turned out to be not that great. I tried looking up what you said about it changing or something and couldn't find anything online.

I have played Allods before. It was pretty fun till my brother stopped playing it, and then I heard bad things about end game ships taking to long and such. Those two things discouraged me from continuing my play through.

I have played all those games but PAM and worms. Worms looks like one of the many artillery games already out there and those never really interested me. PAM looks a lot of fun. Reminds me of the old Vigilante 8 games I used to play on the N64.
