My goal is to become a virologist and this kind of stuff is exactly what I've been thinking of! Once I heard a story about a weakened herpes virus being used to kill a tumor. Then, an over-the-counter herpes control medication was used to kill the herpes!
It was then that I knew I had to learn more about viruses and even make it my life's work! I already loved Biology but this kind of thing made me want to specialize in Virology!

It's weird the way you wrote that Joel, it's almost like you were building up to something, like at the end you were in the lab studying viruses and one day you made an amazing breakthrough, but while performing a test, a number of vials spilled nearby you, and caused a reaction and mutated you into a super hero, and now you are Dr. SCI-FACE, you have perfect memory and can synthesize compounds in your hand just by thinking about them.
It's too bad it didn't end like that.

Yeah, the herpes virus was put into a weakened shell that made it easier to kill. At least that was the simplified version of what was put in the article.
