Supporter Fight Feed Options (in General)

Me and The Gunless Elfwoman were speaking and we had a good idea, for supporters to have options for the fight feed.

Option 1 - Off
Option 2 - All (as it works now)
Option 3 - All Clan (as it works now)
Option 4 - Your Clan (shows your clan attacks and being attacked)

what do you guys think?

Option 1 - Quite doable.
Option 4 - My thought on this is a "No". It would have to mean the "game" would need to perform lookups and see which clan you're in (easily done) AND it would also have to know who's in your clan AND filter out irrelevant information. A bit much for just a simple fight feed.

Actually, as long as the users clan is available somewhere on the sidebar, it would be easy to have the "your clan" option, it would just check the clan id in the sidebar, with the clan id of the loaded feed item, if it matches then it shows it, otherwise it doesn't.

Also, doing the filtering on the client side means that it wouldn't guarantee that all fights for your clan would actually be shown, but currently all fights are not shown anyways. :) What do you think?

Option 1 first, please. Add the rest if you have time and can figure it out.

Would option 4 drop down the bandwith need for a bit higher server load. Overall its a good trade off.

option 4 only cuts bandwidth if it's server-sided, I think.

though thats kinda redundant, as you can just go "Recent battles -> Mine"
