Whatメs a Raspberry Pi?

The Raspberry Pi is a credit-card sized computer that plugs into your TV and a keyboard. Itメs a capable little PC which can be used for many of the things that your desktop PC does, like spreadsheets, word-processing and games. It also plays high-definition video. We want to see it being used by kids all over the world to learn programming.

It's also been designed to be inexpensive, to allow you not to worry if your kids break it.

Disappointment! I thought this was about Raspberry Pie.

$25 computers, we've had those for awhile, called calculators :P.

But, this is really cool, wish I had one of these as a kid, basically a kind of crappy laptop; but it's $25!

Indeed!

I got my college to introduce a ban on Scientific Calculators in maths exams, after I showed them how I could use the internal memory to programe typed formula. ;) They tried resetting every calc before each exam, but that was too much.

I'm gonna wait for the next batch, which will have a clear plastic casing, but I'm gonna get one for emma.

Even if she just uses it for wordpressing, spreadsheets and looking at funny cat videos on youtube! ;)

this does look great...cheap comp thats easy for parents to monitor/control & for young ones to use

PS its also not hard to write a program on scientific calcs that mimic a reset ;)
