Done! (in General)

Lord Bob April 1 2012 2:13 PM EDT

6/20.

As this was my final goal for the game, I'll be winding down my game play starting today with an eye toward retirement. I should be gone completely sometime sometime this month, if not the next week, depending on factors. My deadline is April 24th.

I do want to see what life is like up in 6/20 before I leave, hence why I'm not leaving immediately. That, and I want to cement my team's place in this bracket, not just reach it briefly.

I will not be selling out or retiring the character. This team will remain in place as a testament to my awesomeness, and I guess kind of for the benefit of rising teams as well, but really just to celebrate how great I am *grin*.

gl, come home soon

Unappreciated Misnomer April 1 2012 4:26 PM EDT

Good on you, Ive always been telling sell outs not to(sell out) and rather keep their teams equipped for the benefit of others.

/nods to his greatness

Awww we'll miss you LB.

AdminQBGentlemanLoser [{END}] April 1 2012 6:22 PM EDT

Too true, you'll be missed LB.

You should probably play until you get to 1mil battles challenged. Just saying.

You will be winding down now that you're in 6/20, you get almost 9 hours to sleep instead of 7.5. =)

Phoenix [The Forgehood] April 2 2012 12:38 AM EDT

miss you bob!
You'll lose 6/20 when the top mpr goes higher though.

Dude, that's ~32,000 more battles! At less battles per day due to 6/20, I'll be here for the better part of the year if I commit to that! Not much of a retirement at that point.

5,000,000 MPR is another goal I considered, but unless something miraculous happens in the next week or so I doubt I'll stick around that long either.

In other news, I put on this really awful movie titled Strigoi on Netflix a bit ago. It's so bad that I decided to come back and waste time here again instead while it plays in the background. For those horror fans here with Netflix: skip Strigoi and watch Deadgirl instead.

Lord Bob April 2 2012 1:13 AM EDT

Want to improve CB? Add Netflix and Strigoi to the spell checker. The latter is a very common Romanian word for vampire, and is prevalent enough in western fiction to be added here.

6/20 is max 6*3*24 + 144 = 576 BA/day with none missed and all purchased.
Challenged 968,123 - so 31,877 left, or /576 = 55.3etc days.

You could be done in under 2 months.

Well, technically//traditionally, it's not "vampire"... it's a weird combo of weaksauce shape-shifting energy-draining warlock about-a-third-zombie about-a-third-ghost of sorts, and it's not "created" via infection or anything like that, but more through certain circumstances (and to make things even more confusing, you don't even need to actually die to become one).
Funnily enough, it's an extremely uncommon term nowadays in Romania (I barely even recall my grandmother talking about it when I was a small child), we imported the "Dracula" style vampires instead.
Us Romanians tend to not give too much of a damn about our own traditions, at least not in the past two decades.

That's the point :P

Josh [Cult of the Valaraukar] April 2 2012 12:02 PM EDT

Yup, I did the math without purchasing BA I think it was ~76 days. Even if it took a full 3 months you would be done by the 4th of July.

I know that, but I was oversimplifying for the sake of brevity.

AdminTitan [The Sky Forge] April 2 2012 12:20 PM EDT

I added Netflix, as for Strigo you'll have to convince me a little more and then I'll ask about it lol.

Lord Bob April 2 2012 12:21 PM EDT

You forgot the 'i' at the end.

Fishead April 2 2012 1:47 PM EDT

Congrats on 6/20, glad you made your goal. Sad to see you leave, but with the recent changes maybe you'll stick around for a while longer to see what else happens.
