Auctions not working? (in General)

I tried putting a HoC in the auctions and got this error twice.

Error starting auction. Probably you just doubleclicked (your auction was already placed).

I checked my auctions and it looks like nothing happened. It did take the auction fee though each time.
Manage characters says I have $2,875,454 but under Equip I have $2,810,792

just tried it again and everything seems good.
